Amanda's VOD: Pxndx- Disculpa Los Malos Pensamientos

This music video is from one of my favorite spanish bands, Pxndx. The name of this video is "Disculpa Los Malos Pensamientos"; translated "Forgive the Bad Thoughts". In this music video the lead singer digs up his dead girlfriend and parades her around as if she were still alive.

Thalia's Thalia~

This review is on one of the CD's on my collection,It's by this Mexican pop singer named Thalia, This is her 2002 album and my favorite of hers so far!

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

I am not a big fan of hers, but this cd was pretty good, It starts off really awesome with the song tu y yo (you and me) which is one of my favorite music videos by her due to her edgy image and cool hairstyle. Then is followed by a few other songs which are pretty good if you like pop, Then it has the song A quien le Importa? (who cares?) which was one of her greatest hits due to her lyrics about paparazzi and the media and her music video which was filmed in a gay bar on N.Y. After the song La loca ( the crazy one) there many remixes and ballad versions of her songs, A song that i really like is her cover of the pop 80's song " you spin me round" i think her technolized voice along with her sweet pop image, made the song even cooler!! hehehehehe
all in all this album is pretty good, and is one of those albums that you feel guilty for saying u like it but you'll grrove to its catchy upbeat pop tunes, a track that i think should have been a hit was the song "vueltas en el aire" (going round in the air)

Belinda: Utopia (spanish pop)

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

This is Belinda's second CD. the spanish pop singer has changed her sound completely from her first album. In her first self titled album, belinda (still in high school) sang about every day pop things and happiness about love. In her second album titled Utopia, Belinda's sound changed completely, its more dark and emotional. the lyrics are more egostistical and sarcastical than her sugar pop debut album. This cd is defenetly worth listening to. Even if you dont listen to spanish music, this is a great gateaway to spanish pop music.

The first single "Ni Freud Ni Tu Mamá", produced and mixed by Greg Wells, was released internationally on August 28, 2006 , and the second single "Bella Traición" was released internationally on January, 31 and debuted #28 in Los 40 Principales. The video for "Bella Traicion" was recorded in Mexico and was released on March 5. The video for "Luz Sin Gravedad" has also been recorded and was released on March 13.

Songs
"Luz Sin Gravedad" is the Spanish version of the song "See A Little Light".

"¿Quién Es Feliz?" (Remember Me?) was co-written by Skye Sweetnam.

"Noche Cool" is the Spanish version of the Pussycat Dolls song "Flirt".

The album will be re-released in English in early 2007 in the USA, Europe and Asia. "If We Were" is the first single from Belinda's upcoming English album, a loose translation of "Ni Freud Ni Tu Mamá". [1] The second single in English, "At the End Of the Day" ("Bella Traición"), is being played in Mexican radio stations. "See A Little Light" ("Luz Sin Gravedad") is expected to the third single.
